SNORKEL SITES
MARINERS CAVE
Nuapapu Island plays host to Mariners Cave. The cave was named after Will Mariner. He was a 15 year old crew member aboard the English vessel Port au Prince. However, the legend of the cave tells of a young chief in love with a girl, who along with her family, had been condemned to death for rebelling against the ruler at the time. While the young chief was diving for fish he discovered the cave and hid his beloved inside, returning often with food and water. He prepared a canoe, collected his beloved and sailed to Fiji. There they remained for many years returning only when the ruler had died. Entrance to the cave is via a short underwater tunnel.
Snorkellers dive down and swim along the tunnel to emerge inside the cave.
Once inside you find yourself in a huge dome a refuge from the outside world.
SWALLOWS CAVE
Found of the northern end of Kapa Island, this spectacular cave can only be reached by boat. Numerous white rumped swiftlets live in the cave. In the afternoon light, experience an amazing light show as the light streams down from the holes in the roof of the cave. Swim through the schools of bait fish as you look down into the clear waters of the cave.

JAPANESE GARDENS
Enjoy swimming around the many bombies at Japanese Gardens located next to Mala Island. Each bombie is its own little community with each fish species sharing its home with another, busily going about their business. Watch "Nemo" as he swims in and out of his home the anenome.
NUKU ISLAND
This is not only another beautiful snorkel spot but also usually our lunch stop. Sit in the shallow waters of the white sand spit and allow the water to slide over you as you sit back and smell the delights from our on board BBQ. You can also snorkel along the islands edge and look out for the eels that live in the sand. You need to be quick to see them as they vanish in a flash. Enjoy a stroll around the island and explore its nooks and crannys.
